How I wish to say this at each opening of our parliamentary sessions.
Think of the poorest person you have ever seen and ask if your next act will be of any use to him.

It won't work because none of them (except for the two Opposition members)have ever seen a poor singaporean, much less the poorest. Before they walk the constituency, the scene is sanitised and words of sychophancy are whispered into their ears. They will only see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear. Reminds you of the tagline from Class 90.5FM advertisememnt, "hear only the good things". The pm's Ang Mo Kio GRC, just walk into the tunnel connecting the train station and the mall, and you'll inevitably see the wheelchair bound or destitutes selling tissue packs. You can bet that they would be chased out of that place days before the pm is to walk through there.
The men and women in white have simply lost touch with ordinary Singaporeans, period.
This is should be told to the insurance salesmen so that they will remember if they rob the customers they are robbing a 'poor' person and deprive their family of the protection.
