New Foreign Minister

My guess is that Wong Kan Seng will be appointed the Foreign Minister. He as the Foreign Minister for a short period before he became the Home Minister. His long tenure with the Government gives him the experience for this job - at least for the interim period, until a new person can be found. I also expect Goh Chok Tong to take a more active role in this ministry, perhaps being the mentoring minister.

Any Minister could become Foreign Minister except Teo Chee Hian, he's too arrogant, because of his military background, and thus have no sense of diplomacy. A Foreign Minister must not have a brash style of speaking, as it kills off
conversation at the start, and that's the end.

I see Vivian Balakrishnan as the best choice. It's unlikely to be TCH or WKS since they're already DPM. PAP don't like perceived demotion. Either in, up or out.

GCT has already been foreign affairs mentor for years except in title he's called SM. Look at his real job and you'll understand.

WKS was epic failure during his short stint as MFA, that's why transferred to MHA, but epic failure also. Not just about the MSK escape case, but many other things for those familiar with police force and home team.

Even pedo-rapist murderer Took Leng How could walk through customs without passport and teenagers started choping each other like in 60s and 70s.

Among other ministers who can represent Singapore presentably, firmly and intelligently internationally, I think the best choice is Vivian B. MCYS can be passed to a more compassionate upcoming newly promoted minister.
