Guided by the right values - Ivy Singh

I am not a Tan Kin Lian supporter but I am a supporter of his five very good values of honesty, fairness, positive attitude, courage, and public service. The key word HONESTY is very often missing from the vocabulary of people especially politicians .

As such I can easily vote for Tan Kin Lian because he represents the very values I have also been brought up with as a child and have tried my best to be guided at all times by these values.

Despite some adverse public comments which tried to counter Ivy's earlier article, I tend to agree with Ivy's point about correct "values".

I have been reading various comments in the Internet about Mr Tan and the other 2 PE hopefuls.

Supporters of the "opposing" camps could "attack" from all angles using whatsoever generic arguments (even to smear). But I can say nothing could easily refute and counter these "good values of honesty, fairness, positive attitude, courage, and public service."

Honestly, when Mr Tan send me a draft of his "message" while I was still overseas in China, these 5 values he sought to campaign on and promote striked me most and I replied and let him know urgently in an email about the same. Not, so much about the rest of the things he wanted to say in his PE statement, which Netizens had by now dissected and scrutinised from all angles.

I hope if he is elected, our society would change with him guiding and re-unifying all Singaporeans to re-focus on these 5 values ... without which, Singapore may stay on having "lost its moral compass".

Now I get what Mrs. Singh is trying to put across.
There is one thing we admire her most, that is her gutsy courage for fair play and daring willingness to fight for it.
Fully agree with her comment. We may not really be supporters of TKL, but we support the values that he represents.
This is the only reason of our vote
for him, even though we know Tan Cheng Bok and TT much better.
Thanks Ivy, for voicing out what our hearts say in one simple neat sentence.
