President S R Nathan

President S R Nathan has served Singapore with distinction for the past 12 years. He is  highly respected, friendly, approachable and portrays a fatherly figure. I wish him a happy retirement.

Hm, "I don't know what to say".
But think have something to say.
Would there be another "Nathan" in his place?
Cross our fingers, the next EP would have more initiative and wit, and not just a decorative vase on the shelf, to be admired only.
We want value for the $4.2m that we taxpayers pay every year. MM Lee said there is no such thing as a free lunch. Great! So the EP now has to work his butts off. Can't beat the System, may as well join them. Just parrot whatever our leaders say. PAP talks money with us, we also talk money back with them.
