Shortage of babies

Lucky Tan disagree with the argument put forward by DPM Teo on the need for more foreign workers to cover the shortage of babies:

He argued that if we are short of babies, we should be importing babies now, rather than older foreigners for the work force.

Quote of the Day, by George Carlin, an American comedian cum author/writer/social critic.

"By and Large, language is a tool for concealing the truth."

We would give Uncle Teo more respect if he could be a bit more truthful why his Govt needs to import adult/middle aged foreigners into tiny Singapore.
A netizen once suggested, better to import babies instead through adoption. Easier to integrate children into our local society, and by 2030, they are still young adults, and not old men like today's adult immigrations.

Lucky Tan put it neatly.
To replace the missing numbers, what we need are babies, not the late 20 something or 30 something.
That "solution " will exacerbate the aging problem.

Anyway, why are our youngs not keen in having babies or more babies?
With "affordabilty" claimed for HDB flats and now catastrophic healthcare, can we blame them for being hesitant in starting a family?

Think straight. Do not deny the Truth.

But it is sure damned difficult.
Not with new logic, like taking a loan is more worrisome than giving a loan, not a totally bad principle to follow.

Only problem, is, it was arrived at, using some very creative English concord/ rules......
