I asked a question in the Wisdom of the Crowd website - which issue needs the most urgent attention.
43 people voted. The top choice (44%) was to abolish GST. The other choices - in order of popularity - are the lower health care cost, stop immigration, allow CPF withdrawal at 55 and reduce defense spending.

GST is really a burden to small enterprises, as they need manpower to record and submit to tax authorities.
Perhaps we should take a leaf from Dr M, and replace it with the sales tax.
Just a whimsical wish, the incumbent Govt will never kill this golden goose. It's scary the tax will be only a one way up traffic, would it be soon a 15% in the coming 2020s?
Malaysians hit the right painful spot, saying our Govt is rich, but Singaporeans are poor in comparison.
