I had surgery at a private hospital. After deducting from medisafe I had to pay a few hundred dollars in cash. I did not know how it came about the calculations. When I claimed from insurance with all the bills, they only paid back what I paid in cash ,but not back to my medisafe account which was a few thousand of dollars. Insurance policies has got pages and pages of small prints. Its just not possible to go through it all. If I were to ever go through it all again , I would paid all the bills in cash and not charge it to medisafe. That way my medisafe would be safe from money taken out and the insurance would be liable for my bill?

I had an insurance policy (caring star) linked to my credit card. When I cancelled my card, I called the company to cancel my insurance. I was then told it would be automatically cancel when the card is non-valid. One month later I received a bill of one month non-payment. I called the insurance company again and repeated about the cancellation. The following month a second bill came with two months late payment with interest charged. This time I am not sure if this was a threat-I told them it was not cancel immediately and if a third bill was to be send to me I would make this public on Facebook. A few days later I received a confirmation letter that the policy was cancel and that the amount I 'supposedly' owed was void.
