Singapore has to address our economic challenge

Singapore has been badly hit by the pandemic. This is due to the nature of our economy, which depends much on international trade.

Our economic growth has been worse than many other countries.

It will be a challenging time for Singapore.

It is very important for us to reduce our operating cost, and to cut out the wastage. We need to be more targeted at improving competitiveness and efficiency.

We cannot continue to be incompetent, complacent and wasteful!

I just realised last week that my slim Dyson vacuum cleaner was made in Malasia and my patio furniture was made in China. My neighbour told me her furniture from Picket is an American company, but they are made in China. It took three months to have it ordered and delivered.

Kōnosuke Matsushita was born in 1894 and died at age 94 in 1989. He stopped school at age 9 due to financial difficulties. He founded Panasonic started by being an apprentice. Having an education does not translate to being smart. It just means you are literate.

When the government wants money, they can find ways to increase taxes.

When people need money some have to resort to begging, stealing and borrowing.

Ikea; rain or shine is always packed. Reason being that their products are super cheap and come with excellent varieties. Businesses are always good even though their services or products are not that fantastic. Delivery and assembly of products not of convenience.
