FIFA World Cup - Quarter Finals

Of the 8 countries that qualified for the quarter finals, 4 are in South America (i.e Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay), 3 are from Europe (i.e. Germany, Spain and Nederlands) and 1 from Africa (Ghana). The South American teams have done quite well. So sad, that the 3 Asian teams (i.e Japan, North Korea and South Korea) were eliminated.

Singapore should provide free live coverage on local channels for FIFA world cup to the benefit of all.

Many people feel short change by the govt as it has insisted collecting $100 plus for the TV licence fee year after year,it is like daylite robbery.

Not only TV licence, I got to pay for car radio licence too. What a stupid policy in today world. Out there on the street, who never own a radio in their pocket?? almost 80% of the adult carry a radio(handphone w radio fuction) walking on the street and why are they not paying radio licence? suc h a greedy gov.

World Cup Matches
I think Singaporeans are the most unfortunate lots due to the ignorance and wrong calculations by the top people of Star Hup and Singtel. They misjudged and made wrong decisions on two facts: 1) They try to out bid each other by tendering unreasonably high price for telecast manipulation, and 2)expect ordinary low income people can pay high subscription fees so to offset their tender price without understanding that the more people pay afforfable subscripts the more income it generates.
As a result, many S'poreans were deprived their chances of watching this world sport.
Our govt should be ashamed when our leaders are fully aware that all people in our neighbour countries are taking care of their citizens no matter they are rich or poor. World Cup is a world sport. It should not be a rich man program. Shameful!!!

I have never been sooo pissed off with both Starhub and more so singtel.... These companies made alot of profits last year... there was alot of unhappiness in the way they handled the obtaining of the world cup francise...

THEY SHOULD HAVE ABSORBED THE COST OF COVERAGE AND WRITtEN IT OFF, AS A PUBLIC SERVICE AND GOODWILL!

Malaysia is providing it FREE!!

I had to prove a point and did not subcribe to the coverage, I went to my CC last night to watch Brazil vs Netherland, and was shocked to find easily another few hundred in the hall... packed.
WHY?
