If you really wish to unite the people, please understand what it means to "unite".

Unite means to get people with different views together. Views that support and views that oppose, both come together.

By not publishing views that are different from yours, you are not practicing what you preach. You are such a lousy loser!

Here is my personal take: you do not get my endorsement because you are not honest enough to stand up to negative feedback by other people. You are fast losing support because of perceptions that you are petty, egotistical and is intolerant of criticism. I suggest you go find a hole and stick your head in it until the election is over. Thank you.

The above two comments are the type of insulting remarks that I used to ban from my blog. I publish them to let fair minded people know what type of nonsense are being levied on me.

dear mr tan,

I was impressed by some of the things that you said during your press conference. I might vote for you. I would like to suggest that you do NOT respond to what appears to be a concerted attack directed at your campaign.

Hire a spokesperson and let him or her respond to the attacks. You should stick to your agenda.

Take the moral high ground, stick to your message and concentrate on key ideas. Please will vote for you. Dont give up.

Rex comments as follows,

For the sake of proper discussion, i will comment on the three objections raised by the writer above:

"Petty".
I think people get this impression because of the recent case where TKL wanted to sue someone on the blog for publishing what TKL beileves are lies. I followed through the details, and i did find that the allegations were indeed very serious. It is not just a personal attack, but it was one with an anectdotal context, the truth of which is crucial to understanding the character of tKL. Therefore, i do not find it a all "petty" and anyone with a decent public reputation would logically consider legal redress. There is this issue of the election deposit. People are saying TKL is rich and should not be petty to ask for donations from his supporters who are not so rich. Well, in that case i will tell them go vote for Tony Tan, he'll never ask you for donations. You vote for the person whom you think serve Singaporeans better. Donation is voluntary, if you like you donate if you don't just shut up. Focus on a independent candidate with passion and conviction.

"Egotistical"
Who isn't egotistical to some extent? Tony Tan? Tan Cheng Bok? There is no saint on earth. You can be a President to serve people, but you also want a bit of satisfaction of some form of recognition and not receive insults. If TKL is egotistical to the extreme, he certainly would not have dirtied his hands with so many things post retirement. That are many many CEOs and retired civil servants enjoying their retirement in peace and enjoying their wealth. Why go through all this hassle to campaign for presidency... TKL passion to do something for the country is 80% real and maybe 20% ego, please be more observant. you can;t find anyone like him in Singapore, the rich men all take cover after retirement and play golf.

"Ïntolerant of Criticism"
To some extent nobody likes to be criticised. If you consider TKL intoleratn of criticsm, let us ask ourselves, how does Tan Cheng Bok or Tony Tan react to criticsm? Perhaps they are not tested? Do bear in mind we are selectind one out of three, have to apply the same standards. We tend to apply rigorous standards to TKL because maybe he has a user friendly blog for 4 years so we know the style. But Tony Tan and TCB are completely shielded from public access. How do you judge their reactions when criticised? You don't know. But for TKL, i think he is quite fair. Comments which are merely personal attacks are always removed from his blog. I think this is the right way to go. Comments which differ from his but politely written has always been published. I think he is fairly tolerant to criticisms if raised reasonably.

There is no perfect human being. Choose wisely the three Tan's.

And continue to post the comments from this Anonymous Poison Spiter also.
We're looking forward to more childish pranks from this person, looks like the same "A big, fat loser" in life is on the prowl in cyberspace.
TKL must have stepped on his tail some time ago, and such comments make good
laughable jokes at gatherings.
Emphasis here, we are voting for the 5 values TKL represents, not the person described by the childish prankster. Nothing wrong with Tan Cheng Bok, just that his values do not resonate with us.
For TT, we do not vote for PAP's kaki in disguise.

You seemed like someone who only hear the good news.

When people suggested that you promoted your favorite staff, you push this allegation aside by saying that promotion is done by your HR manager and their processes. Yet, when it comes to growing the funds of Income, you took all the credit instead of crediting the fund management team.

How convenient: Take credit from others and taichi away responsibility when due, you are a indeed a good contestant for the presidential election.

After viewing and hearing what Tan Kin Lian said in his press conference, I am convinced that he is the BEST candidate for the Presidency. He comes across as sincere, candid, passionate and a decent person who can be entrusted with the responsibility of the highest office innour country. I am confident he will serve the interests of all Singaporeans without fear or favor. My family and myself will definitely vote for him.

Dear Mr.Tan

Comments from Anon. 1:18 am, 1:46 am and 5:45pm are not worth your time to respond.

But some other allegations are very serious, please take Jack’s advice to hire a spokesperson to respond on behalf of you.
