Restructure the bus services

The bus system in Singapore comprise of about 350 bus services that provide a network to bring people from one place to another, either directly or with one change of bus.

This system is complicated. Passengers have to rely on an app to tell them which service to take and where to make a change. Many passengers are not familiar with the use of the app.

It is also difficult to manage the services and ensure that they are optimally used (i.e. with a high load) and also provide a good service level (i.e. passengers do not wait a long time for a bus).
