Buy Term Insurance directly

Hi Mr Tan,
I would like to buy Term Insurance but am not sure if it can only be bought when tied to a living policy. Can you please advise if I can buy a Term Insurance by itself and if so, where?

REPLY
You can call the insurance companies shown on the attached FAQ:
http://www.tankinlian.com/faq/termd.html

Some of them may try to distract you to buy their whole life, critical illness or other products. You must insist on the Term insurance.

Here are some benchmark rates for you to consdier:

Let me know when you have made the final decision. All the best.

It is possible that you get a rider to ride on your existing Life policy.

However, you may wish to know that your Rider may be lost if you claim on your Life Poicy.

Eg, if one's Life Policy cover Critical Illnesses and the rider don't. If the person cotract the Critical Illness, the rider cannot exist by itself and might be terminated.

If you are getting Term Insurance, I suggest that you get a policy that allows multiple rider coverage(Independent from each other) in a single policy so that the policy not be terminated when any of the rider is claimed.
