Many Singaporeans have no choice but to work overseas at least for a few years because many of the companies here do not appreciate us and we are forced to work for pay that are not analogous with one's expertise or experience

The irony is that the government will spend big money to get you back after you have succeed.
These happened in the academic field for those not on AStar scholarship and recently i think they are also giving big bucks to lure back medical students from abroad.
They will rather spend big money to hire someone from overseas instead of trying to nurture the talent themselves which in many cases will be more cost effective.

15 years later , an oversupply of Uni/Poly in SG.

More ASEAN/PRC students are coming to fill-in local Uni/Poly.

Nothing to be alarmed? If they do their home work well.
They should consider visiting and experience the lifestyle with the following in mind:

1) Country's Economy?
2) Crime Rates?
3) Citizenship Class?....3rd Class?
4) High GST 12.5% ?
5) Income Tax over 40%?
6) Unemploymen?
7) Loneliness/Boredom?
8) Natural Disasters?
9) Domestic Maids?
10) Coldness?
11) Vacuum? as influx of NZ islanders have migrated Down Under?

I work in the UK and before I came here, I was hoodwinked by the media back home. It is so alarming that the cost of living has spiralled out of control, much more than in London where I am currently based.

With Singapore being so crowded, there is less incentive for me to return, perhaps i will apply for PR here at least there's a contingency place.

The moment the leader open his mouth to demand to be paid a salary at least 4 times that of the US President to serve the country, for me that marks the beginning of the end of the country.
