Holland vs Germany

I watched my first live World Cup match over television in 1974. It was the Finals between Holland and Germany. The star on the Holland team was Johan Cruff. Holland scored the first goal within 2 minutes. Germany was led by the legendary Franz Beckenbauer and won the Finals on 2-1.

Germany has won so far because of great teamwork in the team. Most of the time, during their attacks the player holding the ball is looking out for fellow team mates who could be in a better position to score a goal and pass the ball to him. Just look at the goals they scored in all their matches so far and you will see what I mean.

On the other hand, other teams with star players such as Portual, have less teamwork. Most of the time, they will try to shoot and go for glory for themselves. Some Holland players are beginning to be selfish as they progress also.

If both Germany and Holland meet at the final then I think there is a very high chance that Germany has a higher chance of winning due to their great teamwork.

In this world cup, the Germany team plays like the old Brazil team which is entertaining and the Brazil team plays like the old Germany team which is boring.
