NUS Law Professor and his political views

Prof Tey Tsun Hang, who is charged with corruption involving grading a law student, has written several articles critical of the political system in Singapore. They are described here:
http://theonlinecitizen.com/2012/07/pp-v-tey-tsun-hang-agc-denies-link-to-professors-politically-charged-academic-publications/
However, the Attorney General Chambers have denied any links between these publications and the charge that is now being levied on Prof Tey.

Why would an outstandingly bright girl need to sell her body to ace her grades for graduation?
Even if sex was involved, nothing seriously wrong for a hot blooded Professor to have flings with his attractive student.
It happens all the time between 2 "willing" adults, whether in Academy, Civil Service or the Commercial world.
The Geylang hotels are not the only place for hanky panky sex, universities too.
The AG expects people to be really that daft, unable to see through the dirty tricks to stifle this Professor's blunt criticisms of Singapore's politically biased Judiciary system, and her pseudo democracy system. The AG's denials look so comical, trumping up childish charges on behalf of someone. Only the professor's wife has the legal right to sue for adultery, what right has the AG to file corruption charges. Surely the girl is not that stupid to expose herself in front of her friends of the whole affair, her reputation in her Law career would be over. Thus the AG's accusations dun hold any water, please respect more the people's analytical intellect. Also, it's despicable for an ambitious AG to destroy a girl's reputation for a political Agenda.

Interesting!
What exactly was the Prof charged with ?
If it was corruption, then what about the other party ?

Now that the Prof's politically inclined writing has surfaced, I do wonder how his indiscretion or infidelity was discovered.

Who complainted? The girl was already above 18 years old when it happened and I doubt she is the one who complaint. So if no one complaint, AG probably came to know through gossip. Since this Prof is worth purging and will help AG in his yearly appraisal, why not?

Ex-MAS MD did a excellent job on Minibond & other structure products saga that he was promoted to be a Minister after that. Chairman of MAS is EM Goh. Retailed Investors like myself felt betrayed by our govt while thumbs up for Hong Kong Regulator. This may also be one of the factor why PAP lost Aljunied as well as past PAP supporters. The Lehman Brothers Saga gave Singaporeans a chance to compare Hong Kong and Local regulator/govt performance. The most painful part was that our govt was paid the highest salary in the World and cannot do a respectable job for the victims of the financial saga e.g. Victims of DBS High Note lost their savings, investments as well as their case in the Singapore Court. All because DBS belongs to the Govt and Govt is the boss of MAS and the Court. So, in my opinion, 18 years of high salary came to nothing as PAP Govt only remembers us during GE. Too bad they thought they can smoke us during the rally with threats, scolding, big picture lecture, need to have honest & talented people, lecture about present Salary not consider high and finally an apology which came too little too late. Maybe the recent town council fee increase is to makeup the $16-$18 million Town Council lost in investment to Structure Products crisis in 2008.....

I am sad to view all these comments who fail to see that the Prof is taking advantage of his position to gain monetary and sexual gain from an undergraduate under his charge. He can potentially ruined her chance of getting of good degree. Of all the professors in the NUS you have one from the Law faculty and former district judge to boot committed these obviously unacceptable deed. I would like to question any readers who still think he is fit to teach in NUS. I wouldn't bother to read his comments on singapore legal system when he is morally fault.
