Suitcase wheel lost

The wheel of my suitcase was lost (i.e. came off) due to poor handling by the airline. I reported to the airline. They replied that the airline does not cover this type of damage.

They asked if I had travel insurance. This is normally covered by a travel insurance policy.

Normally budget airline do not cover such damage but normal airline do collect the luggage for repair. The airline will send their contractor to collect the bag repair and return.

If the luggage cannot be repair, usually the airline will replace a new one for customer.

Insurer do pay if budget airline do not pay, I have a client who just claimed for damage luggage.

I swear by Samsonite as they are extremely durable. They may be a little bit pricier but I feel that they are a good investment. Last thing you want it is to have your luggage fail you at the most critical moment in the middle of nowhere.

I travel a lot and my Samsonite has faithfully served me well for the past 7 years and still rolling smoothly.

Granted that it looks really really battered now, it is actually a good thing. Less likely to get stolen. No?
