World Movement for Democracy

This organisation held its general assembly in Jakarta. President Yudhoyono opened the meeting. This important meeting was not covered in our Singapore media. Here is a report in Temasek Review.

Looks like we lost out on an opportunity to host the event and make millions from all the visiting delegates.

Or maybe we were not invited?

- time for a new strategic thrust to make Singapore a hub for democratic movements worldwide

PAP would have rejected the invitation even if it is invited.

Our Govt do not have the guts to attend even if invited, but we think the Indonesian president do not bother to invite Singapore, as it is not a democratic country yet.

Maybe Singapore media thought that WMD stands for Weapon of Mass Destruction, so didn't report. Anyway, I understand that Singapore was represented there (World Movement for Democracy Conference) in a sense, by delegates led by new United Singapore Democrats Sec-Gen Miss Jaslyn Goh.
