Tips:
- seek for second opinion local or overseas (a JCI accredited hospital)
- if A hospital tell you to wait 2 months, consult Emergency at B hospital
- go to MOH website and check
for education background of your trusted doctors; if specialist, go to Specialist Accredited Board, MOH
Good Luck.
Misdiagnosis might cost money.
Delay of treatment might cost more money.
Visit a medical center/hospital which is not efficient costs money and wasted your time,
To see a public specialist, you need a long chain of procedures:
-Visit polyclinic for referral
-Wait for specialist appointment from a few weeks to months
-Wait to do medical analysis
-Wait again to see specialist for diagnosis
-Wait again if operation is required
Unless you have the luxury to wait for so long before your condition deteriorates, go for it.
Why wait so long? the poor can wait...beggar cannot choose. take it or leave it
govt also wants money , lah...throw the money the money infront of them, see whether they take you in right away.
