Article u referred to points to same thing in S'pore. Leaders go for short-term gains by flooding in cheap foreign workers while neglecting long-term- poor productivity compared to other countries.
Quick gains, quick gains! *sigh*. Little patience, can't wait. When people no longer live off the land like in kampong times, they no longer have the patience to wait for the crop to grow since they can't see the crop in their kampong. What they can see in on the supermarket shelf.
