Have said before, Singapore is now sliding back into a third world country, the super rich at the top and the super poor at the bottom, and the middle class sliding into the same pit as the poor underclass, very soon disappearing altogether. Yup, what's the point of the humble HDB flat's value catapulting up 5, 10 or 20 times, can see but cannot touch.
To monetize your home, after selling, then how? Sleep on the streets? Check into an old folks home? A clever man is ultimately blinded by his own cleverness.
Not used to seeing LKY speaking incoherently.

Apparently, our pain can only get worse as the import of more to sustain the rising prices seem the only solution adopted.
