Mr.Tan, please let your audience know that there are 3 portals from which they can buy insurance(wholelife, endowment etc) free of commission or at rebate of 30% from the commission.
They are
1.www.compareFirst.sg ......no commission...only whole life
2.www.DIYinsurance.com.sg by Providend for all insurance products with 30% rebate in the commission.
3. www.insurance@FSM by Fundsupermart for all insurance except shield plans.....with 30% rebate on commission
Consumers should buy directly from these companies and NOT to be plundered by insurance agents or at the roadshows.

Yes, I strongly recommend that consumers explore the above websites when buying life insurance. Why?
1.Why should consumers pay commission or high commission when they don't get advice or get rotten advice.
2.Most (not all) insurance agents are just salesmen and some are conmen and women who are only interested to con you of your money and not advising in your best interest.
Pay heed to the warnings by "dollar and Sense' recent article in the Yahoo.
