Dear Sir,

Very good salary indeed.

I hope you get someone soon.

Do you accept part-timers?

Some questions:

1. Any Employer CPF contribution?

2. Any 13th AWS bonus?

3. What about standard employee benefits, such as annual leave, medical leave, medical benefits etc.

4. What are the working hours, office work or work from home?

5. Is this a contract position or permanent staff position?

I did not get any response to this advertisement in Job Central or in my blog. I do not wish to advertise in the newspapers as it will cost me $2,000 (too costly).

It seems that Singaporeans cannot be found now. They are busy working for the financial institutions or selling properties and financial products or studying for a university degree.

Hi Sir,

I think you can try to register with NTU, NUS, SMU, Kaplan, etc. to post advertisements on their jobs portals.

NTU and NUS have job portals for the students. Although most of the people who apply are mostly foreigners if the company is niche or small.

I had posted in NUS, NTU job portal before, and even though my company was international and multi-million, the average student/singaporean do not know it. So, the singaporeans applying were few. Many PRCs, Vietnamese, Myanmar students applied and it was easy to see they simply sent their resume in a mass-fashion.

I wonder if you would like to create a marketing video or free simple app for your company on iphone/android/windows so people can download it for free and get to know more about your company's vision and core values.

We are all living with constraints. I understand you have a business to run and students are trying to secure a *bright* career (at least that's what they think for now until a portion of them get their own crisis in those big MNCs/public sector which treats them as a number).
Maybe as companies reach out more to singaporeans, we can help singaporeans be exposed to the opportunities in SMEs like TKL Associates.

Good day Mr Tan,

The salary range is quite good, within the range of what a university graduate would be getting, though, it would not be fair to comment on it as other benefits and job specifications are not clearly stated.

As a local Singaporean developer myself with more than 3 years experience, I would like to highlight that the current situation is either brought upon by ourselves or the environment. As the Singapore education environment goes, brighter students are venturing more into the financial markets or into government jobs, resulting in the sharp decrease of young Singaporeans still interested in this field.

Moreover, cheaper substitutes can be found from other countries like China, India and the Philippines. More experienced personnels are interested in managing positions, resulting in further decrease of highly experienced Singaporeans in this field of interest.

To conclude, experienced or talented Singaporeans that are still in this field of interest are either already occupied with an organization or their interests starting to sway towards managerial posts.

This is just my thoughts, it is exciting and heart warming to know that opportunities are still offered to local Singaporeans and permanent residents, but the chances are higher that you might find a foreigner for the job.

Regards,
Aaron
