Do you hear the people sing

Here is my favourite song from Les Miserables. The title is "Do you hear the people sing".

Ths song is sung to reflect the frustration of the poor people of France, who are angry at the authority for not taking care of their poor condition. It is a stirring song.

Here is the lyrics:

Chorus:
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Chorus:

Will you give all you can give
So that our banner may advance
Some will fall and some will live
Will you stand up and take your chance?
The blood of the martyrs
Will water the meadows of France!

Chorus:

Can someone change these words to reflect the frustration and anger of the investors of the structured products. Please send to me at kinlian@gmail.com. See Comments for the reworded versions.

Anyone got a Minus-one track of this song and we shall all sing on saturday at Speakers' Corner. Btw will the police allow singing?

If we're in France right now, you can bet that there won't be any people working until the whole thing is over. Strike!

I like to improve the wording. Can someone help to change the words to rhyme, or to fit into the tune?

I hope our song writers like Dick Lee etc can help. Who knows maybe this song can hit the world top 10 and Singapore be the 1st to achieve it. We should be able to compete the 60/40 song by DBS. Sing this song at the Sat session and possible have it recorded and post in blog. Well done, keep up the unity spirit. Remember UNITY is STRENGTH and that is what MAS and FI is trying to break you up. Delay tactics will cause breakup.

Another investor submitted this version #3

Do you hear the voices ring?
Singing a dirge of saddened men?
It is the music of investors
Who will never be conned again!
When the banks with conscience act
Follow the prompting to be fair
We will stand by all our facts
And do what we dare!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the iron-clad forms
Is there fairness you long to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Chorus:

Will you do all that is right
So that our cause it may advance
Live by what is right and true
Will you stand up to show your might?
The call of the investors
Will echo to all in sight!

Chorus:

Version #2 by an investor

Rewording of the song (contributed by an investor)

Do you hear our people weep?
Shedding tears of agony?
It is the wailing of our people
Who have been cheated of their money!
When the banks claim innocence,
and the authority's voiceless
There is a fight about to start,
for what is yours!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the disclaimers,
Is there justice you long to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to what's yours!

Chorus:

Will you give all you can give
So that our banner may advance
Against the institutions,
Will you stand up and take your chance?
The tears of our people
Will be seen across the world!

Chorus:

VERSION #4

Do you hear the voices sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the voices of a people
Who will not be conned again!
Unless banks will quickly act
The people must loudly declare
Return us our money intact
If not, banks beware!

Will you join in our protest?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
In the coming contest
Is there fairplay you long to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Chorus:

Will you do all that is right
So that our protest may advance
Strive for justice come to light
Will you stand up, declare your stance?
The hopes of the people
Should never be a game of chance!
