David Marshall - the joy of public service

David Marshall was a former chief minister of Singapore. In this interview, he spoke about the joy and excitement of public service, not necessary to have a high salary.

Why is it all those great people belong to the days of the 60s and 70s, why no such great people exists today.

A timely reminder to our government that they are there to serve and not to rule. Governments are instituted for the greater good of the entire nation, not to enable one group of society to control and exploit the rest.
