Mr Tan,
Just managed to do do a small donation thru' DBS Internet banking about 15 minutes ago ( 1150hrs) ! There is now a Payee that specify Red Cress Japan Disater. Maybe, it was a quick action on DBS's part after your posting !

The strange part, was there was no need to authenticate. Maybe again my amount was too small....
Note that I was stumped when there was box for "Reference" ! I wrote " Donation ".

Yes, it is true, the dbs system is not user friendly at all. I have also gone through the above frustration before, but chose to live with it. IT was still possible to make the payment though a bit more procedures to set up was required.

Here's another blatant example of super inefficiency of DBS.
Anyone who users ATM machine of dbs would know this.
When you want to top up your cash card, you have to select the option "top up YOG payment/EZlink/cashccard.." option.

Heck YOG is over for nearly 9 months already, and nobody in DBS noticed it? Nobody in MAS noticed it? Don't these people use ATM's themselves? Why people don't care? Is it so difficult to remove the YOG reference? I noticed the problem about 2 months after YOG closed. Now it's 9 months, the YOG menu still in all dBS ATM's, you won't believe how silly it is.

Because being efficient is not top priority. Top priority is to do things which makes big bucks. These small little annoyances are not in their department. There is no monitoring. There is no accountability. Sounds familiar.

Hi Khuen Way
My friend also told me that there was an item for the Red Cross that does not require authentication. I am sure that it was not there when I tried this morning. And I searched a few times before I went to the full list.

So it was likely that I went in too early, before the item was added.

MR Tan, i just found out that DBS made quite a lot of chnages to the website to accomodate your request. But still it confuses me. When i click on Manage Payee List, the system doesnt allow me to see where my existing payees are!! All i see is Add, Delete, payees boxes. I think the dbs just took your post without thinking, your post request the facility to make it easy to add payee and they did just that. But now i cannot view the list of payees which i created before in the past before your post! I am also thoroghly confused with the term Fund Transfer, Bill PAyment and Remittance. I think it is still a very confusing site, before and after your post!.
