Test positive rate - trend in recent weeks

 I computed the test positive rate for the past few months.

It increased from 1% in early September to 15% by end October. It probably remained at this level for the subsequent weeks, but the number of tests were not available.

It is strange that the test positive rate would escalate sharply to 15%.

However, this is calculated on cases, of which over 90% are mild or asymptomatic.

Test positive rate for covid

 There is a sharp drop in cases from 3,500 a day a few weeks ago, to the current level of 800 a day.

However, this could be due to a drop in the number of tests carried out.

If there are less tests, there were be less reported cases.

I hope that MOH will publish the figures of the test positive rate.

Stock market forecast for December 2021

 Many people expected December to be a bad month. The catalysts were omicron (and the economic lockdown) and the high inflation rate in America.

The stock market was weak last week.

The stock investors are now relieved that omicron may be mild and the lockdown restrictions will be reversed.

The US stock market rebounded last night. Many of the growth stocks that I invested recovered 5% to 10%.

I expect December to be a good month, as was the case in past years.

There is still the concern over high inflation rates, but I guess that this will cause the stock market to fall early next year, and not in December.

Top Glove results for 30 Nov 2021

 Top Glove will be releasing its results for the quarter ended 30 Nov 2021 soon.

I have decided to buy more shares at the current price of $0.79.

Parliamentary Committee on Privileges - release on progress report

 The Office of the Clerk of Parliament reiterated on Monday that while the committee will present its final report to Parliament in due course, it will also keep Parliament informed of the progress of its investigations in a “timely manner when appropriate”.

There is no urgency to keep Parliament informed on the progress. Even if this is a genuine need, why should the progress report, which is incomplete and one sided, be released to the public?
