Some families are able to live on SG$ 6000 a month for a family of 4
Some live on SG$ 12000 a month for a family of 4.

The definition of the cost of living varies between families and individuals.

If people do not mind dressing like HC with no accessories can save a lot on clothing.

The betrayal was from the beginning all we heard was HDB losing money to making the people feel guilty that we were the cause of them losing money.
Thanks to some eagle-eyed and sharp-minded to pointing out that it wasn't the people who are responsible for HDB to lose money but SLA.
It took parliament and opposition parties to exert the truth, after excuses and more excuses they had to come out and give a breakdown of the cost of HDB flats because they knew people are not trusting them and that they had things to hide.

After this incident, my trust in and despise for them grew bigger. And now people see, people, follow. The reason why this country has got an attitude they will do anything for money. Greed begets greed. Dog eat dog. This is the kind of society we are breeding.

My relative lives in a landed home.

Bought a big luxurious car to impress the neighbours, but took public transport because the car drinks petrol.

Eat only kuning fish 'cause pomfret is expensive but serves similar nutrients but spent $10,000 for their Pug cataract, 'cause the dog kept getting injured running into furniture.

Flew a budget airline to visit their children living in Brisbane, but spent $2500 a table in a top-end hotel for their wedding which was also held in Singapore in Sentosa.

When sending father for medical at Mount E, park at York hotel and walk, 'cause Paragon fees for parking is $4.50 per hour and Mount Elizabeth is $6 per hour.

Only give luncheon meat and eggs to the maid with rice.

Every few years flew to China for fake branded goods.

To cut costs for themselves, they try to award the bid to the lowest contractor. When paying out choose the cheapest. Quality drops. Essential to cut corners for profits.

To earn money for themselves, they award the bids to the one who is willing to pay the highest $$$$$$$$$. When collecting choose the most expensive. Quality also drops. Essential to cut corners for profit.

Whichever way around who benefits?
