Simplify our life

Life is too complicated in Singapore.

It is complicated to figure out the bus services and the concession for senior citizens (as they differ between the operators). It is complicated to figure out the charges for taxis. It is complicated to figure out the entitlement to the workfare bonus.

We need to simplify the rules governing our daily life.

I like what my friend Christopher Lim always encourages me, "take a day at a time".

Agree with you totally. I am trying very hard to figure out how the COE bidding and registration process but not much info that I can find from LTA website. How come so complicated! I was wondering why the car dealer got to bid the COE for us when the world is so connected, are they earning from COE as well? They should just be selling the vehicles. Mr Tan, you head CASE Singapore so that consumers will benefits. Thank you!

I share your sentiment.

Maybe it is worth asking whether Singapore is focusing too much on "efficiency", forgetting about its "effectiveness".

Hi Mr. Tan

I have been following your blog for a while and I think you are a good blogger and I appreciate your time in writing.

Although I may not necessary agree with some of your points, I respect your style - at least you make a stand.

Since you mentioned workfare, I find Budget '07 - complicated and confusing.
