Shops in Hualien

Hualien is a tourist town in the east of Taiwan. The shops are closed in the day. The roads are almost deserted. There are only a few cars moving around.

The shops open for business at night. The streets are busy.

I have never seen a town operate like this before. In many places in Europe, the shops are open during the day and closed at night.

G'day!
That's true. In Lots asian country the stop always open at night as well, close time is late on the weekend. But I have been to few europe country and now in Australia, the shop close at 5 or 6 pm on weekly day, only supermarket close at 9 pm. On the weekend all close earlier or even not open. It's totally different then Taiwan, maybe because western like to be relax but eastern like to make money. Haha... just my opinion la. No matter what, it's just culture.
Hope you hand fun in Hualien.
