SDP candidate's remark "keling kia" was offensive to the Indian community. What is the word for "Indian" in the dialect? Can we say "Blackie"? That's not acceptable, right?

Despite WP's popularity going down the drain bit by bit, they remain popular according to the rallies. Do some people hate the PAP that much? Another reason would be that the spectators are planted?

People define "good" in different ways. Since the last general election, we rarely see truly good people, only good rhetoric and accounting. SM Lee, where have you been?

GE2025: Good government needs good people, don't play dangerous game with tactical voting, says SM Lee.

Tried & Tested

1) Foreigners are surpassing Singaporeans in various aspects.

2) The public housing situation is problematic.

3) Private housing prices are at an all-time high, and living spaces are shrinking. It feels like humans are being treated like animals in cages.

4) COE prices are a joke, and the roads have become extremely unsafe.

As long as they can collect money, everything can be overlooked.

Before any racial riots erupted, the government needed to investigate past communications among Islamic extremists. They should not be concerned about the backlash from the WP supporters.

I haven't had time to watch the rallies. I'm still waiting for someone to say," You will have money if you put huge money plants in your house."

The results are still good 😊 if they receive 57 per cent of the votes 🗳️, based on their last 5 yrs of performance.

It's difficult to appreciate everyone in a 4 or 5-team in GRC. For example, I dislike seeing Gerald Giam and Sylvia Lim leave Aljunied. Whether Aljunied wins or loses, the outcome will not make much of a difference between good and bad.

Both Christians ✝️ and Buddhists 🧘 will likely support Tampines GRC, as their team is considered stronger 💪 than Faisa Manap.

When we live at home with our parents, we have free vouchers, perks, and the comforts of home. Yet, we can't wait to move out. The idea of having our own space, making our own decisions, the freedom, personal growth and having friends over wins in the end with free vouchers and the things we took for granted living with parents at home!

Anonymous said...

Times are definitely changing. The younger generation values their own personal space, especially where living conditions can feel cramped. Many are seeking living spaces that still offer a sense of independence, with privacy. This shift shows a trend towards valuing experiences and personal time over traditional of home and family. It will be interesting to see how these preferences shape housing and community design in the future.

Vouchers and handouts from parents will not encourage them to stay.

Conscience:

Conscience is often described as a sense of right and wrong that guides our thoughts and actions. It plays a crucial role in ethical decision-making, helping individuals navigate. A well-developed conscience can foster empathy and compassion, that align with one’s values and principles. It’s also influenced by various factors, including cheating, abuse of power. Conscience acts as a moral compass, that reflect our beliefs about justice, fairness, and kindness.
If one has no conscience, look out for lightning that can strike or karma that may help you sleep not so well at night. Some things happen for a not-so-good reason.

'Clear signal of trust and confidence,' says Lawrence Wong following PAP's victory in his first election as PM'

Mr. Lawrence Wong expressed that the recent victory of the People's Action Party (PAP) in his first election as Prime Minister is a 'clear signal of trust and confidence.' However, it’s important to acknowledge that while he may represent the 65% of voters who feel this way, we should not assume the same sentiment for the 35% who do not share that trust in the PAP who just do not have that kind of trust in the PAP! Please do not put words into the mouths of the 35%.

believe that Leong Mun Wai has negatively impacted the party due to all the issues surrounding the Pofmas.

My colleagues—who work in finance like I do in Shenton Way—mentioned that their parents had texted them about the election in Singapore. Some of these parents are from various Asian countries, while others are from developed nations. Although my colleagues responded to their families, they refused to share what the messages contained. The only thing we heard was that they advised their families to delete the texts. This leads us to assume that they still hold onto the mindset of the LKY era.

I did not even know who Gerald Giam is till I started hearing how much people like him. That was when I started looking out on him. The young and able bodied probably away for the long Labour Day holidays. The silver-generation could be part the 92.5 % who voted for them? Off course you vote for the party who gives you money not for anything else.

I know a few people who really despise the incumbent. When Lim Tean and his team became the opposition candidates in their constituencies, it created a dilemma for them. Ultimately, they voted for the PAP, feeling they had to do so, not because they wanted to. Lim Tean and his team should consider staying away from the next General Election. Apologies!

Ng Chee Ming, you can survive this. If people with dubious character proven by the court can or are allowed to become the Leader of the Opposition in a country where we were told to hold high standards, there is something very wrong with the system. What is considered acceptable or appropriate for one person should also be considered acceptable or appropriate for another person in a similar situation.

Given a choice, the People's Action Party (PAP) would prefer having Prata in parliament over Chee Soon Juan , Tan Cheng Bock , Lim Tean, Goh Meng Seng , or Ravi Pheloman. They have to set the benchmark by taking action . All these thrillers involve own families.

Since he was given the title of Leader of the Opposition, his ego seems to have inflated non-stop. He acts as if he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and however he wants. During the Committee of Privileges (COP) session, he displayed an attitude that suggested, "I am Prata Sing. I shouldnt even be here, "whereas Reeash displayed calm and confidence without going around in circles.

If PM Lawrence Wong had not act in haste and had waited till the results of the appeal were finalised, the thriller seasons would not have dragged on.

Step down so that other oppostions can step up. Prata not only played out himself, he also played out the other opposition parties and Marine Parade during the last election.

PAP philosophy is pay high salaries so can get good people? However it seems that bad individuals are glued to the high pay and cannot break them apart.

The country feels extremely divisive these days, and it seems like a lot of that tension stems from the government's inability to stem it in the roots . From political disagreements to differing opinions on social issues. Many people are frustrated with the lack of strong leadership and decision-making, which has led to disillusion and a growing sense of helplessness.

Nothing seemed to be black or white nowadays. Everything is so grey and conflicting. People have started to lose faith and not feel good about themselves anymore.

Now we have Bloomberg that would not be pushed around due to its financial muscle. This situation might attract global attention and since both law firms are based in Singapore, the judges are likely to be fair and reasonable for the country's reputation. Exciting HeHeHe.

Pritam was trying to protect his ( (farn wan 饭碗 ) as he was one of the few MPs who does not have a full time job outside the role. Now with all his legal fees high high, and that he thought his pay would be secure the next 4 years. He has got a young family to support and bills to pay.
He sat an example with Daniel Goh and now all his sheep knows their standing. That is life. Book Smart and not Street Smart. Now with most NMPS with high qualification, sets example that you can have kosong intelligence as long as your paper qualification is not kosong. As soon as the results of the NMPS were out, it was there we go again, it is not what you know but who you know Okie-dokie. Happy New Year.

Yes, 38 Oxley has seen significant price growth since 2015, making advantages time for the seller⁉️
If Workers Party approved a new LO, it meant that their present leaders were guilty⁉️
It looks like it took one head of state to give the LO, but needed the whole parliament to take it away which had cast the whole party as bad cops ⁉️
Trend is PAP start one and now WP also copy.⁉️

The difference was that one was meant to be popular while the other was not. The courts around here typically don't consider public opinion because they tend to be politically neutral? Legal decisions turn more on law and the merit of the case rather than the popularity or public sentiment surrounding it? Hope that all are true?

Anonymous said...

Bloomberg likely has a robust legal team in place. Before any content is published, especially if it’s sensitive or could have legal implications, the legal support team would review the material to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. This helps mitigate risks and ensures that the information shared is accurate and responsibly communicated. It’s often said that you have the advantage when the playing field is in your favour, much like when Miss Thailand triumphed in the beauty pageant hosted in Bangkok. It’s pretty straightforward. Thank you, Bloomberg, for not only helping the country to fight power imbalance, but also bringing light.🔦. Heaven has eyes. Is this the first time they have been in the limelight?

SM Loong is one of the few ministers left who genuinely prioritise the country’s interests 🇸🇬. We not claiming he’s perfect, though. If a homegrown judge casts Bloomberg in a negative light , it could lead to foreign companies relocating or deter potential investors from coming here because of bias justice system., and we don’t think he would be pleased about that. Bloomberg has a presence in almost every country 🌍, and their news reaches a wide audience 📺. For the sake of 2 politicians, I don’t believe that would be the case. Bloomberg may still have a chance in this legal matter 🤞, considering the implications for the country. He won't even allow his own brother to get his way on the house because of cheating on the will leh. And he was left with a broken family.

Live More, Worry Less or
Live Less, Worry More.

We have not heard anything like, "We will come out to investigate," from the government. Even third-world countries like Anwar would at least make a statement about an investigation. It seems that there is a reluctance to address these issues as things don't seemed to sit right with this kind of "out-of- radar ministers" whom our lives partially in their hands, perhaps out of fear that people will be discouraged from entering politics. With the current state of both the PAP and the Worry's Party, where is the country heading? When LKY sued, it was for the country's sake. Now, they sue for their own agendas. Besides, we now have an educated population who can think critically! How come the country now so suay? Kanna Sai. Which side will be appealing to the higher court? Maybe now, in the middle of case cannot say anything.

Wat has Lawrence Wong achieved other than Vouchers??? Which Minister or the current oppo fear him?

Anonymous said...

Maybe he really: "I didn’t know." Ridout was a sign from his wife. This situation was orchestrated by her??? Maybe not. Najib's downfall caused by his wife? Iswaran case received a tip-off from a foreign entity. Here, nobody knows the full story, and life would have continued as usual if it hadn’t been for the foreigners. Najib’s downfall was linked to his wife and was exposed by foreign sources. LHL was clever: when his albino son needed to register for school, he realised the school would recognise his voice. To avoid detection, he had his wife call the schools without revealing their identity. Most schools turned them down, except for one. They understood that as public servants, they must not cross certain lines.

Why go through so much drama to do the right thing? Only siow people like that. Some people dont need money.

Some Senior Council have a conscience. If you protect the crooks, can you really sleep well at night? What would your family think about the money you earn? Eventually, there will come a time when you have to leave. Can you do so in peace? LWL will tell you.
Most probably, 88M he will retire in the next election. He will be forgotten with time, but not from the internet. This is a significant moment in history, showing that people can truly fight back, even when the odds are against them. He remains poorer than many politicians in Malaysia. Alamak!

1) Was the sale amount extraordinary?

2) Is the typical timeline for a property transaction around 10 weeks? Why did this 88M transaction take only 4 weeks?

3) Was the buyer shrouded in secrecy?

4) Was the payment process shrouded in secrecy?

5) Was the caveat shrouded in secrecy?

This transaction everything also not normal? Those corrupt countries laughing at Singapore, which always boasts of being clean? Tio Bo?

This situation illustrates how context and cultural differences can lead to misunderstandings in communication--A lady who baked a cake for a potluck function. At the end of the evening, she asked a friend to try her home baked cake. Her friend declined saying she was diabetic and not a "sweet" eater. The lady felt offended that her friend insulted her cake was sweet, saying she measured everything precisely from the cookbook. What the friend meant was she was not into DESSERTS.

In some regions, the term "sweets" can indeed refer specifically to desserts or sugary treats. This highlights the importance of clarity in communication and the impact of regional slang or colloquialisms.

Such misunderstandings can strain relationships, as seen in this case, where one person felt offended without the intention of causing offence. It shows how vital it is to consider not just the words used, but also the possible interpretations behind them based on cultural and personal contexts.

If you are an American, you will know that Michael Bloomberg is a household name. By the way, the company have their backs on the staffs, and paying high-flyer defence says money is not an issue. The big issue is they want to defend their rights for the world to see that if they published an article they stand by what is true. Even if Singapore wins, the world knows what is true. The more the details come to light the more questionable the whole deal seems especially in a first world country like Singapore! It would have been more common in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia or even Cambodia.

If remember correctly, when the Ridout case came to light, the former Prime Minister was asked to initiate an investigation volutarily, which led to CIMB being called in. Once CIMB cleared them, they began to file lawsuits.

However, for this more serious case, there was no voluntary investigation. Instead, there were just threats of and lawsuits. Cannot be because different PM right? This one no calibre one, only know how to talk about off topics which are not related. Give credit when due-he a upright fella and authentic.

Anonymous said...

If we look at bloomberg's history, no one has ever sued them for defamation.

🤔 Their lawsuits primarily arise from internal issues such as discrimination

or harassment by employees. 👩‍💼 Now, we have made history. When the

former thai prime minister revealed to the world that singapore paid extra to

secure a monopoly on taylor swift, no one dared sue for privacy

breaches. The former pm publicly stated that what they did

was not wrong. Having experienced bullying by wealthy kids in school who

picks and chose their targets , I now

have a very negative impression of them.

What will happen to the person in charge of Pofma which was already issued and SLA Edwin Tong? Have to protect ka ki lang. So many of them.
Our best guess is worst case scenario, Bloomberg will not pay the damages( deny wrongdoing) and relocate
