Different strokes of justice

The recent spate of court sentences has got
Singaporeans wondering
whether judicial decisions favour the elite.

“These may be early days,
but unless the Government acts decisively
it may affect the court’s integrity,”
one lawyer commented.

“Don’t forget,
justice lies very much in the hands of judges and prosecutors,
who mostly hail from the elite class.”

A kidney transplant case involving a seller, an agent and a buyer which happened several years ago was a typical example. The end results were very different

Uniquely Signapore!

Someone said " Justice should not only be done, but should be seen to have been done."
This is Food for Thought. Say this to the rich Elites, they only side with their own kind, the birds of the same feathers flock together.
Someone said Woffles Wu is related to a political Elite, that's why he is let off lightly.
Here in Singapore, dough and power go hand in hand, not an Elite, off you go to jail.

Unjust persecution and treatment of Opposition politicians and dissidents were the start of the slippery slope.

When you give up fighting for your political rights, you will soon lose your economic rights.
