Taxis taken off COE bidding system

Why it takes so long for Govt to change this simple illogical idea of letting taxi companies compete with heartlanders for small cars?

Answer: GE 2011 election.

If one listen to feedback sensibly then one should not expect to be paid top dollars when others are doing the real work e.g. public, PAP backroom scholars, civil servants etc.

If one insist to be paid the world best salary, then don't expect feedback and just solve problems like low birthrate, high COE, High living cost to justify your salary.

You cannot have it both way i.e. high paid govt and ask for good feedbacks to solve your Ministry problems.

Why take such long time to ditch it, as if Govt has been blind all these decades, the COE contest in Cat A is a battle between small David and Goliath, favouring the Taxi Companies with more financial power.
Perhaps LTA's kitty is overflowing by now, so time to take action to appease the small citizens' anger, with an eye on 2016.

Right. Why so long to come to their senses ? 2011 & 2016 ?
Well, well. In-calculable damage had been done all these years already.
Anyway, it is a small consolation.
Not much to shout about.
Nothing to cheer about this National Day period.
Quite the opposite, too many bits & pieces to be ashamed of.
But then, if you choose to, life still go on. Being boiled slowly is nothing new.....
