No matter how short the meeting, PM Lee still had to pay homage to Mahathir, though PM is not as street smart as the Bruneian Sultan, who rushed over on the second day Mahathir was ordained as new PM. The buddy buddy relations between Lee and Najib made the new PM see red too.
Mahathir keeps grudges at heart, here remind folks, esp the younger generation, LKY refused to lend financial help to PM Mahathir during the Asian Financial crisis 1998. The latter retaliated by outlawing the Clob Malaysian shares trading on SGX and initiated Capital Control.
He then lashed out Singapore as a selfish neighbour, even said there are many ways to skin a cat (Singapore).
