I give my observation about the cancellation of the cruise due to the discovery of one infected person. I hope that the people in charge and the citizens at large learn the lesson from this experience.
We should not over react and take extreme and wasteful decisions that have bigger and more adverse impact.

the trouble is the play safe mindset has been ingrained deeply and the person in charge is at the ivory tower wanting to keep his million dollar paycheck safe and thus playsafe measure
