Not a single thing is ever straightforward.

Esso gives a 10% discount with DBS credit card payment.

Given a choice, I preferred to pay by cash.

The bank charges me $180 a year for the card.

End result which benefits, esso, banks or consumers.

It may sound simple but is it? Testing the creativity limits? What do we call mix and match? Different businesses only accept a minimum of two kinds of payments below. To be able to transact with every business or shop one needs to have all the payment methods below? And if you lacked any sometimes you get stuck. Safest is still to carry cash.

1. QR Code

2. PayNow

3. PayLah!

4. Contactless Mobile Payment

5. Mobile Apps

6. Pay Anyone

7. EZ-Link Card

8. NETS FlashPay

9. AliPay
