According to Chua Mui Hong in Singapore, a SGD500, 000 can get you a 1000 sq. ft (she must be referring to HDB). She was trying to be polite in case of POFMA. Block 75C Redhill resale was exchanging hands for nearly a million dollars. She then went on to conclude in Perth where she currently resides that the same amount can get you a land and house 5 times bigger with no subsidies. Housing here is made from gold.

Most advanced countries do not use cheap foreign labor thus seldom shoddy workmanship. The blue-collar workers are highly skilled thus highly paid.
