Subway system in Philadelphia

I went into a subway station at 8 pm, in the downtown area. It was quite deserted. There were no commutters waiting for the train. The station was small, and could take less than 100 commuters, if it was full.

Perhaps most people drive in Philadephia or take the bus.

At 8pm, the commuters have already gone home. This isn't Singapore! :-)
There is a healthy use of mass transit in Philly. Though many daily workers are more likely to take regional trains that stop in the center of the city, than the inner-city subway lines. The other factor is that more and more commuters go from one suburban location to the another, where only cars will do.
I hope that otherwise, your trip to Philly to was positive. Thanks for visiting.
