Give your full name

I like to ask commenters in my blog to give your full name and vested interest (if any), if you wish to state an honest opinion that appear to be confrontational.

I will delete any comment that represents a personal attack, if it is made in the cloak of anonymity.

I accept opinions that may differ from my opinion, even if anonymous, so long as it is expressed fairly and with honest intent.

Mr.Tan, I think you shouldn't insist on commentors giving their name. Talking about vested interest , everyone has. Your blog has been very successful because of your laizze faire policy. You do not remove comments because they are different from yours. This should be the way. Of course, if a comment that borders on malice, libel, religious or incites racial hatred, that needs to be censored. But if it so called "personal" it leaves to a lot to interpretations. I don't think it should be removed because a view debunks another view.
I hope it will further encourage more people to visit your blog by not laying this restrictive parameter.Whoever they are let them post. Do not remove just because NTUC or its agents got the bashing.
It helps to improve instead of resting on their past laurels which rightly belong to you after 35 years. Thank you

I do not accept that you can make personal attack against other people (ie the Income advisers), in the clock of anonymity.

If you have an honest opinion, you should state your full name and your vested interest, if any.

I accept views that differ from my views, even anomymously, so long as is expressed fairly.

Whether a comment is fair or not has been seen.

There is one particular person who always write to attack at any issues that Mr Tan writes or some of us comment.

It is good that Mr Tan maintains his administrative right to disallow such trouble maker.

i think if one is to make a statement which involves a personal attack, one should have the guts to leave your name and stand by your statement.

if not, it is just another cowardly act.

Better still, include a link to your photo.

Have your own blog and say whatever you want with reference to the comment in another blog.
Anonymous 10:42, talks about guts and cowardly act. Aren't you the same,
Hiding behind the 10:42 anonymity taking snipe shot? Who are you? At least leave somehting of yourself so we can know.

What I was trying to say is that leaving a name in cyberspace doesn't resolve the issue of anonymousness. Not even a picture.

The current method of moderation is a better way of filtering acrid remarks.

Trouble makers are usually those who make a lot of complains. They are spoilt sports. They want this or that way and construe any thing that disagrees with their views as attacks.
Mr.Tan , i hope you don't let these few people stifle the vibrancy of your blog .
