Opening up the economy is between a rock and a hard place. Open-air places like hawker centres, parks, swimming pool so so are not as much risk as enclosed places like cinemas, nightclubs plus gyms. There will always be those who argued that we should open up the lockdown and those who are against it. For those who don't mind to suicide themselves and take the risk, that it is their choice. For those who value their health, it is also their choice to stick to the lockdown. Please the majority, not minority.
To make people responsible for their own not being infected, hospital bills should be borne by the individual.
A country where they would sell their mother for 10cents. A country each for themselves. It has become unbearable to live in such a country. A country where people are always angry.
In fact, my family has been contemplating migration for some time now. For the sake of sanity. Once in a while, we might be considered second class in a white Melbourne, but for trade-offs of cheaper spacious housing, car and a slower pace of life. There will be ugly people everywhere, but it seems they are becoming more prominent here. The never-ending of the paper chase. HDB living is torture on noise and privacy, and life is hell if one has bad neighbours. The driving here is horrendous. The always continuous upgrading. The wish for owning a second property has now become a sin. Once the old leaders leave one by one, the new ones are just more lip service and acting.
