Rotation of ministers

I asked a question in a survey - which minister do you expect to head each ministry.

More than half the respondents choose the incumbent minister.

Is it a good idea for the same minister to head a minister for more than five years, and sometimes more than ten years?

Here are my views:

The Genius Insights- Even before the pandemic( which was beyond expectation), associations

with past and present work colleagues, past army friends, still in contact JC and university

friends- this group whose income deprived them of buying HDB and unaffordability of private

property other than studio apartments.

Couples who are married but still living with their respective parents, due to long wait

for flats.

Lack of public flats in prime area.

People having difficulty selling their investment homes, as buyers were unwilling to pay

the asking price citing their ABSD. How many young first-timer can afford a private

property?

While it is alright to keep property prices in tune with income, ABSD should not be one

of the term.

Elected presidency and PORMA did not affect lives directly, therefore not much of an impact.

I am only saying my side from what I gather from my very own small circle and not the

views of any others or generalisation on the whole. There was unhappiness on the housing

even before the COVID-19.

Whenever Li Hong Yi is ready to come out and do the Jamu Lim for PAP, the earth will rattle as he is not the conventional guy like what he has shown while he was in the army :-)
