Avoid appearing to be judgmental

Some people like to use statements like "X is right" or "X is wrong".

They appear to be passing judgment on X. They do not have the credibility to pass this kind of judgment.

It is better to say "I agree with X" or "I disagree with X" or "I have a different opinion".

Whenever my son's girlfriend comes to our house aunty this and aunty that and tries very hard to be helpful, I resist judging her. I said to my son to tell his girlfriend to just be herself because I was once somebody else's girlfriend. During courtship, I was very nice to his parents. After a few years of marriage, when mother-in-law just show up during weekends and started walking around the house like an inspector that was when I started to fight back.
Before and after cannot judge a person. Before marriage, she said I was very good, now she tells all the relatives I not good.

If and when you want to buy an executive condo, it would be likely that you would both work with a job paying a combined less than $14K, even if you can earn higher. After application and all kinds of stuff are successful and settled, you can play around with your salary???

How banks operate by losing out. My wife and I were looking around for a resale. The agent referred us to a bank(OCBC) consultant for his advertised unit. After viewing a few more housing, we decided on another. We went back to the OCBC consultant to save us the headache of sending stacks of documents to other banks that we were ready to purchase. His reply was he couldn't take our case as the referral agent was from the first house!

Book Smart VS Street Smart on businesses.
