Paxlovid vs VV116

Pavlovid is a therapy approved for the treatment of covid. It is owned and manufactured by Pfizer.

The US government bought 10 million courses of the therapy for $5.3 billion. Each course is taken over 5 days.

The cost paid by the US government is $450 per course. This is for bulk purchase. For smaller quantities, it is probable that the price is higher.

A Chinese company has created another covid therapy called VV116. The clinical trial showed that VV116 is more effective and safer than Paxlovid. It has been submitted for approval.

We can take control and responsibility for our own lives.

We cannot escape fate and our genes.

The dilemma of ambulances-One of my friends was seriously injured during a drunken brawl after a night out celebrating New Year's Eve. The police and ambulance arrived-someone must have called. In a drunken state, he refused to be taken to the hospital. The ambulance crews did bandage some of his wounds. He only realized how bad his injuries were when he woke the next day of the new year a little sober when his bed was covered in blood. He was admitted to the hospital for a few days for surgery. He only vividly remembers what happened.

My friend related that the police had called him and that the case is closed. The police said that at the place where the brawl took place, the cameras were blurry and they could not investigate due also to the poor lighting at 2a.m.
