EVEN THE BEST STATESMEN/STATESWOMEN AND UNDERSTANDABLY SO ARE OFTEN IMPELLED TO PUT THEIR SPIN ON WHATEVER THEY THINK WE SHOULD THINK RATHER THAN BEING MORE TRANSPARENT AND HONEST ABOUT THEIR BIASES.

UNFORTUNATELY, ONE'S TRUE SELF-INTEREST, DECISION MAKING CANNOT BE SWAYED BY THE DEMANDS OF JUST A SMALL INTEREST GROUP OR ONE FEELS BEHOLDEN TO.

HERE IS THE CHALLENGE. EVEN PUTTING PMLEE IN SENGKANG ALSO CANNOT WIN ONE. MATHS CALCULATION-KHAN 52% NO KHAN HOW MANY% ???

Our former PM Lee Kuan Yew said:

“In Singapore before you land, the hostess or the steward will announce that there are very heavy penalties if you are found with more than a stated number of grams of certain prohibited drugs. And if you still come in with a few kilos of them, which will destroy hundreds, thousands of families, one death is too kind. Because you are killing that family every day for years and years and years that a daughter or a son is an addict.”

The Top 10 Most Livable Cities in the World (2021)

Australia dominated The Global Livability Index 2021 as its four cities secured places in the top 10 list of the most livable cities in the world. Index rankings are based on several factors such as stability, culture and environment, infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

Here is the full Top 10 List:

Auckland, New Zealand
Osaka, Japan
Adelaide, Australia
Wellington, New Zealand
Tokyo, Japan
Perth, Australia
Zurich, Switzerland
Geneva, Switzerland
Melbourne, Australia

In fact, Adelaide was able to obtain perfect scores when it comes to the healthcare and education categories. Surprisingly, local institutions were able to deliver physical and remote learning efficiently. Such aspect speaks volumes,s especially for international students eyeing to study in Australia.

How Can a Country Have No Income Tax?

Alaska is a major oil producer, so roughly 90% of its revenue comes from the oil and gas industry.

In fact, Alaska even shares its oil money with its residents through a permanent fund. A family of four living in the state receives roughly $20,000 per year.

Nevada, on the other hand, doesn’t have much in the way of natural resources, but it generates enough revenue from tourism to support its government without an income tax.
Countries With No Income Taxes

THE BAHAMAS (Countries with no income tax like the Bahamas and Maldives fund their governments in the same way. Since they bring in plenty of money from tourism, they can allow residents to live there tax-free)

BAHRAIN (Bahrain was one of the first states in the Persian Gulf to discover oil on its lands. This oil discovery has allowed it to become one of the wealthiest nations in the world – and one of the handfuls of countries with no income tax.)

It’s also fairly easy to live there.

BRUNEI (This tiny Sultanate on the Malaysian island of Borneo also has enough oil wealth to forego income tax.)

CAYMAN ISLANDS (Like the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands’ scenic beaches draw in enough tourists to keep its government afloat without the need for income tax.)

KUWAIT (Like many of the Gulf countries on this list, Kuwait doesn’t need to levy an income tax thanks to its large oil industry.
It’s also one of the most expat-friendly countries in the world.)

MALDIVES (Imagine living in an over-water bungalow without paying a dime in income tax.
You can technically do that in the Maldives, a small island country in the Indian Ocean.
Thanks to its plentiful – and expensive – resorts, the Maldives doesn’t see much need for an income tax.)

MONACO (Monaco’s status as one of the world’s best countries with no taxes has made it into a playground for the European elite.
This gorgeous country on the French Riviera is safe and luxurious, yet it charges its residents and citizens a total of zero income tax.)

NAURU

OMAN

Cayman Islands (Like the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands’ scenic beaches draw in enough tourists to keep its government afloat without the need for income tax.)
